Sick. That’s the number one comment we hear when people look at this Charger. We’ve also heard wicked, wild and the old standby ”wow.” Miles deep, perfectly reflective black paint, the in-your-face Symbolic 20” rims, the subtle Lamborghini Millennium Silver accents – no one walks away without being impressed. When you sink 2,630 man-hours into a project, it had better be impressive! Now that we’ve learned (at our cost), we can build you one with the same wow factor and flat out performance: After all, we built this one!

Start outside with the ultra cool, ultra straight exterior. You can’t ignore the amazing black paint no matter how hard you try. Every piece of stainless trim is perfectly straight and shiny. The chrome from bumper to bumper is brilliantly refinished. New emblems are perfect, with the classic Charger script and arrow up front and new-school Charger lettering on the tail panel. The door gaps are perfect; panel fits are perfect. Everything closes with solidity and sureness thanks to dozens of feet of Dynamat. This is a jaw dropping car amongst even our own collection, and that’s saying a lot. The finish alone would have trophies thrown at it at any show you’d attend. Chrome three-piece Symbolic wheels wear Pirelli P Zero Nero tires, 245/35/20 up front and 275/35/20 out back, for ultimate grip and control. Shelby Series One calipers and rotors stand out behind the front wheels while GM discs with integrated parking brakes are out back. The tail stripe was custom matched to the grille and tail panel paint (a custom mixed Lamborghini Millennium Silver) which ties in the original R/T band with the Pro Touring concept.

Inside, you’ll find largely original style components – Dodge did such a brilliant job in ‘70 we didn’t feel the need to make drastic changes. Those are the fully restored original gauges sitting behind gorgeous BE/A bezels. The new door panels play host to new armrest bases and door handles, the BE/A dash pad is perfect, the new console perfect with re-chromed top plates and the shifter and wood steering wheel are restored originals. New Legendary leather seat covers, new door panels, a new carpet and a new headliner join mint upper door pads to complete the soft trim. The Classic Auto Air A/C system gets controlled by the factory sliders while the high power stereo in the glove box has redundant controls in the center console – that’s trick. The big Keisler pistol grip pokes out of new console top plates, the new BE/A woodgrain wheel is just right in your hands (especially with the rack and pinion steering below) and new pedal pads are at your feet. Restored with a few upgrades this interior is a step above top notch in feel and execution!

Big wheels, a shiny finish and in immaculate interior are musts, but cars like these live and die by their chassis and power-plants. Open the hood and you’ll see this Charger is thriving: That’s an Indy Cylinder Head 451ci Street Wedge making 550hp@5700rpm and 500lbs/ft@4500rpm. Indy starts with a seasoned block, adds in an Eagle crank and rod set, Weisco pistons, 440EZ heads, a big dual plane intake topped by a Barry Grant carb and more. Standard Street Hemi Orange paint wouldn’t do, but a modern interpretation is in order, hence the custom mixed pearlescent hue you see. More subtle are the shaved valve covers (to remove the Indy logos,) the custom billet air cleaner lid done on a water jet cutter and the custom 6061 aluminum fastener bezels on the sheet-metal bolts. You’ll see an SSBC master cylinder and booster setup on the firewall and billet reservoirs for the power steering and hydraulic clutch. You’ll notice, maybe not immediately, that the dark silver matte paint found its way in here, too: It allows the engine to shine even more. Walk up and look at the inner fenders or you’ll miss this car’s coolest trick: Lexan windows display the custom built suspension like jewelry in a case. This is seriously trick, Grand National Roadster show level work!

On the lift you have an even better view. Those are Shelby Series One upper and lower control arms and spindles, as well. The front suspension is completely custom with 1 5/8” tubing and an aluminum cross-member and Dynamic F1 (as in FIA Formula 1 series) shocks which have been dyno tuned and come with their results. You’ll also find power rack and pinion steering with Hemi joints for tie rods and a splined sway bar with jointed end links. Out back you’ll find a built Dana 60 axle with 3.54 gears hung on fresh HD leaf springs receiving power from the TKO600 transmission and aluminum driveshaft. The exhaust from the headers to the tips is from TTI and features custom clamps and Flowmaster Super 44 mufflers. The ultra smooth floors are done in the same dark silver as the engine compartment. Open up the trunk to find custom carpeted walls, carpeted floors and the Optima battery.

The worn out cliché “must see to believe” isn’t even close to adequate here. The paint is beyond belief, the power and sound is unreal and the trick parts would take five more pages to cover in depth.
