Wearing a sinister layer of traditional Ford Black paint under a spectacular clearcoat shine, this spotless 2012 Mustang has been in the care of one meticulous owner since new. All of the car’s modifications were performed by Shelby’s shop in Sin City, Nevada; an outfit that undoubtedly knows how to churn out killer performance cars. And like most of our low-mileage, factory fresh pieces, its body presents as new in every conceivable way. That body’s shiny, wet-look panels are 100% straight with no history of accidents or damage of any kind. And a close look down the car’s sculpted fuselage reveals world class finishing that, by far, creates one of the nicest factory Fords we’ve ever seen. When up close and personal with Ford’s GT500, it becomes clear the firm’s designers focused on creating a car that looks tailored and substantial in comparison to its “lesser” counterparts. And this killer Mustang, with its high quality Shelby body kit, panther-like stance and completely blacked out exterior, is about as “substantial” as it gets! At the front of this mean mare, a familiar Mustang grille hangs an offset cobra emblem between detailed HID headlights, a sleek carbon fiber air splitter and a sculpted front valence that’s complete with traditional halogen fog lamps. At the top of that grille, a Super Snake hood centers a flat Shelby stripe between mandatory stainless pins, chip-free factory glass and a flawless cloth roof. At the base of that glass, large cobra emblems and aggressive side scoops frame body-matched mirrors and carbon fiber side splitters. And at the back of those splitters, sequential tail lights, a bold “SHELBY” script and a GT500-exclusive faux fuel filler hang between a short antenna, a large, trunk-mounted spoiler and an aggressive black splitter that’s pierced by “SHELBY” branded exhaust tips.

Created as a turnkey package for enthusiasts who want a reliably engineered Mustang that unlocks the full potential of Ford’s newly freshened ‘mod motor’, the Shelby Super Snake utilizes a Shelby/Ford Racing whipple supercharger to crank out an astonishing 750 horsepower. In front of this car’s polished blower, a familiar, “SVT” branded induction system combines with a reusable filter element to provide a clean appearance and excellent efficiency. At the sides of that blower, traditional SVT coil covers combine with bright, Ford Blue cam covers to dress things up a bit. And in front of the blower, slick Shelby fluid caps combine with an optional Shelby cooling system to add both form and function. As with all Shelby specialties, the car’s shock tower proudly displays a Shelby American badge that verifies its authenticity. Aesthetically, the spotless mill features a typical OEM-level appearance that displays hardly any signs of usage at all. And when you twist the eager engine’s key, you become the lead composer of a veritable orchestra of sinister whines and octane-fueled roars!

As most performance car fans already know, this Mustang’s SVT-tuned suspension is nothing short of excellent. And with a few of Shelby’s aftermarket bolt-ons, it sticks to the corners like the high speed luge winner at the 2010 Winter Olympics. The firm’s upgrades began with a Shelby/Eibach suspension that straightens the curves, progressed to Shelby/Baer brakes that scrub big speed, and ended with 20 inch Shelby/Alcoa wheels that keep power to the ground. Behind the smooth engine, a slick-shifting Tremec TR6060 6-speed sends power to tall 3.73 gears and a factory limited slip differential via a custom Shelby driveshaft. At the corners of the car, those big Baer calipers, which happen to be red-detailed, 6-piston units, squeeze giant drilled and slotted rotors behind standard Shelby brake ducts. Turns come courtesy of Ford’s super-efficient EPAS electronic steering system. Exhaust flows through fresh Borla pipes to bright, Shelby-branded tips. Naturally, Ford’s standard ABS and AdvanceTrac stability and traction control systems are all present and accounted for. And all this first class speed and agility rides on the aforementioned Shelby/Alcoa kicks which spin sticky 255/35 front and 275/35 rear Pirelli P Zeros around a highly polished finish.

Inside this Ford, bolstered and stitched seats, which feature bright Shelby logos, ride opposite a leather-wrapped steering wheel that’s adorned with convenient thumb buttons. The instrument panel is a familiar Mustang layout which hangs a programmable “SVT” shift light behind large, graphite-faced gauges, great looking metal trim and a bold Carroll Shelby autograph. Below that trim, a familiar Shaker stereo combines with Sirius Satellite radio, touch screen navigation and Ford’s revolutionary SYNC system to become your one-stop shop for any electronic need. Below that stereo, a slick billet shifter is framed by an impressive console that’s marked with a sequential Shelby badge and detailed in optional Shelby upgrades. And naturally, all the luxuries you’d expect in a high dollar modern car are ready and waiting including: cruise control, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, power seats, a power trunk, and remote keyless entry with a built in theft deterrent system. It’s always hard to describe a car that is essentially new in every way. So I’ll just sum this Mustang up by saying everything, from its lighted roll bar and Auto Meter A-pillar gauges to its Shelby floor mats and super cool MyColor lighting, is in impeccable working order.
