As you might imagine, it takes something very special to amaze the seasoned staff here at RK Motors Charlotte. It’s not that we’re a particularly cynical bunch but, as a leading retailer of some of the most desirable muscle cars in the world, we’re constantly surrounded by extremely impressive machinery. With that in mind, few modern cars compare with this incredible Martin Technologies SS. Sporting $22K in upgrades, this Camaro wraps a supercharged, 600 horsepower LS3 in a platform that’s stylish, luxurious and ready to hit the road. Think about it, that’s essentially Corvette Z06 power in a sedan-based frame that’s so versatile it’ll happily chauffeur your grandma to the local hair salon. How could any red-blooded gearhead NOT love it? If you’re a Chevrolet fan, a Harold Martin fan, or just a fan of fast cars in general, you’ve come to the right place!

Logging only 2,957 sunny day miles since it rolled off GM’s Oshawa, Ontario assembly line, this awesome 2SS coupe is a spotless and lust worthy approach to the ultimate modern muscle car. In fact, likening this road rocket to an everyday Camaro is akin to debating the similarities between UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez and your neighborhood gym junkie: THERE IS NO COMPARISON! The car’s rich Imperial Blue Metallic 2-stage presents a highly polished shine thanks to never seeing rain and never leaving the garage during winter months. Naturally, its slick, showroom-fresh fit is as close to perfect as a factory car can get. There isn’t a speck of road rash anywhere on its nose, rockers or broad blue flanks. And honestly, with so few miles on the clock, this pristine Chevy just hasn’t had the opportunity to find any significant trouble on the street or in the ditch. In a world where livability continues to compromise performance, it’s nice to see a car that embodies the all-speed, no-holds-barred mindset that defined America’s original muscle cars for most of their existence.

Pigment is pretty, but now it’s time to get down to business. Twisting 600 dyno-proven horsepower into roughly 590 lb./ft. of tire torching torque, the lightweight, supercharged LS3 rumbling beneath this car’s hood is a technological testament to the old saying “The best of both worlds”! GM Powertrain invested a great deal of time and research into getting the most out of its Gen IV small block, and it definitely shows. Changes started with a 20% stronger casting, featuring an increased bore of 103.25mm. Focus was then shifted to flow efficiency, resulting in the use of rectangle-port heads and an all-new intake manifold. Factor in a new piston design, and injectors borrowed from the brutal LS7, and you get a very potent street car that happily doubles as an everyday commuter. Of course, given his line of work, Harold Martin just isn’t satisfied until potent street cars are grown into strip striping monsters. And that’s how this classy Camaro came to be paired with one of his high quality Performance Enhancement Supercharger kits. That said; raw power simply isn’t enough for a car like this – it has to LOOK good too. A custom, body-matched engine cowl perfectly complements silver air tubes and a silver fuse cover. The polished ProCharger blower looks great in conjunction with a reusable ProCharger filter element. And overall, everything appears just as it should in a well-maintained, low-mileage garage queen.

Take a look under this Chevy and you’ll find a factory-fresh chassis that’s clean, proven and ready to pound the pavement. Side step the car’s third pedal and a heavy duty clutch engages a slick-shifting Tremec 6060 6-speed. That transmission is hooked to a familiar limited-slip rear end, which spins sporty 3.45 gears. Built around that driveline is a Nurburgring-tested independent performance suspension that, with the help of Martin Technologies springs and rolls bars, is capable of pulling almost 1 g through corners. Variable-ratio, speed-sensitive power steering, big Brembo calipers and giant, vented rotors combine with factory ABS and electronic brake distribution to ensure this is the best handling Camaro to date. GM’s Stabilitrak traction and stability control system works with a 6-speed Camaro SS-exclusive launch control system to keep the power safe and manageable. A sweet, but equally brutal soundtrack is provided by a Martin high-flow tuned exhaust system. And the car’s “CHEVROLET” branded calipers are fronted by 22-inch Boss Motorsports 337s, which spin 265/35 Hankook Ventus STs around bright chrome spokes.

Inside this pristine Camaro you’ll find a Martin Luxury Leather Sport Interior that displays virtually no wear at all. The car’s 2-tone, “MARTIN” branded seats are supple, supportive and near perfect in every way. The dash, which features the same dark gray accents as the car’s reverse-stitched door panels, hangs traditional, silver-trimmed gauges around a standard Driver Information Center. At the center of that dash, controls for a Boston Acoustics 9-speaker sound system ride above factory 4-pack accessory gauges and a short, leather-wrapped shifter. Below those gauges, like-new carpet is protected by color-keyed floor mats and bright Chevy sill plates. Opposite that carpet, a self-dimming mirror positions GM’s award winning OnStar service in front of a factory-optioned sunroof. In front of the driver, an ornate steering wheel spins buttons for the car’s Bluetooth connectivity, Boston Acoustics audio system and standard cruise control around a standard tilt and telescoping column. Behind the passengers, a surprisingly spacious trunk features enough room for a weekend’s worth of luggage. And naturally, all the luxuries you’d expect in a high dollar muscle car are present and accounted for including: power windows, power door locks, heated power mirrors, a power driver’s seat, remote keyless entry and a standard theft deterrent system.

Nicely appointed from the factory, this killer F5 rolled into Jay Chevrolet of Highland, Michigan with a long list of standard and optional equipment. Here’s a breakdown of the car’s original window sticker:
