As dedicated gearheads who sweat 30-weight motor oil, we strive to deliver the coolest muscle cars on the planet. As dedicated Charger fans, you guys keep asking us about epic Dodge B-Bodies. The thing is: every time we get our hands on a striking, well-restored Charger, it sells almost as fast as we finish the write-up. And I'm sure the fate of this vivid '69 R/T will be no different. Wrapping an original Magnum V8 in a classic color palette, this incredible MoPar combines some of the nastiest muscle your money can buy with one of the best looking packages to ever prowl American streets! We know you're patiently watching our inventory turn, and we know a few of you have been just a bit too late in picking up the phone. So, here it is: the no-holds-barred, big block redemption you've been waiting for!

This slick coupe's high quality, ground-up restoration began with what appears to be a solid, damage-free body. That body's panels were painstakingly stripped, sanded and massaged to better-than-showroom condition. Once those massaged panels were correctly aligned, and the car's intimidating ambiance fully reconstructed, a correct and appropriate coat of Charger Red two-stage was laid under a correct transverse stripe. And the result is an ultra-straight, fully sorted pavement pounder that inspires comments and elicits stares every time it hits the road!

Every piece of this Dodge's tailored ornamentation looks excellent against Chrysler's bright red pigment. And while it's hard to determine the originality of all those baubles, they present well, displaying very little weathering. At the front of the car, a prominent, silver-trimmed grille hangs a bright “Charger R/T” script between a body-width bumper, artfully hidden headlights and round, fratzog-branded marker lamps. Above that grille, a scalloped hood leads the eye to correctly tinted glass that's cleared by traditional silver wipers and framed in bright stainless trim. At the sides of that hood, a faceted profile centers small “Charger” scripts between Chrysler door handles, correct chrome mirrors and a familiar 'pit stop' fuel filler. And at the back of that profile, a Satin Black valance centers a bright “R/T” emblem between clean tail lights, a second body-width bumper and square stainless exhaust tips.

Tilt the car's hood and you'll find an original, 440 cubic inch RB V8 that's branded with a correct 25364390 casting number and matching partial VIN. More popular than Chrysler's famed Hemi, and almost as feared as Dodge's revered 440 SIX PACK, this Magnum V8 was designed to offer an exceptional combination of speed and civility. Oxygen transitions from a correctly marked, organisol-coated air cleaner to a big Carter carburetor. At the front of that carb, a traditional points distributor sequences fire in to a fresh set of Chrysler Electronic Suppression cables. At the sides of that distributor, Hemi Orange valve covers perfectly contrast restored, cast iron exhaust manifolds. Cooling is supplied by a correct, 26-inch radiator that's cinched to pliable hoses via simple Corbin clamps. There's a correct air conditioning system that's cool in both the figurative and literal sense. And power is provided by a reproduction MoPar red cap battery. Aesthetically, the entire engine bay looks spectacular, from its fresh decals and Charger Red fenders all the way to its old school fluid reservoir and snug hood insulation. And functionally, a quick turn of the car's ignition results in a rumbling, high-performance idle, hot or cold.

Under this pillarless B-Body, over-restored floors frame a solid chassis that's been massaged far beyond factory standards. Behind the thumpin' big block, a rugged A727 3-speed twists a Chrysler 8.75-inch rear end around solid, highway-friendly gears. At the front of the car, Chrysler's familiar torsion bars combine with factory power steering to make quick work of big bumps and tight curves. At the back of the car, beefy leaf springs hang at the sides of a leak-free fuel tank. Stops come courtesy of correct power front disc and rear drum brakes. Exhaust is handled by aluminized tubes that bend around an H-shaped crossover and factory replacement mufflers. And all this Mopar goodness rolls on chrome Magnum 500s, which spin 225/70R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As in front of 275/60R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As.

Inside this awesome Dodge, a correct Black interior is clean, well-fitted and surprisingly stylish. The correct front bucket and rear bench seats display no significant signs of wear. In front of those thrones, a restored dash hangs rebuilt factory gauges beside a modern Pioneer CD player. At the bottom of that dash, like-new carpet centers “Charger” branded floor mats on a traditional chrome shifter and correct, wood-trimmed console. At the sides of that carpet, fresh door panels hang pliable armrests and correct power windows under bright stainless trim and orange-tinged “Charger” emblems. Above those panels, old school shoulder belts frame a tight, black headliner. In front of the driver, a glossy steering wheel spins a satin-finished horn ring around a monochromatic, fratzog-branded center cap. And behind the passengers, a professionally restored trunk features a plaid mat, fresh decal, full-size spare and correct jack.

The sale of this vivid classic includes a vintage owner's manual, a vintage warranty booklet, a vintage tire receipt and a couple of inspection stickers that date to 1976.
