Formed in 2010, RK Motors, LLC is built on a vision shared between Rob Kauffman, founder of RK Collection and co-owner of Michael Waltrip Racing, and Joseph M. Carroll, founder of Best of Show Automotive. Both lifelong enthusiasts, their decades of automotive knowledge and business insight allowed the company to quickly become one of the most innovative collector car retailers in the U.S.
Since November 2010, our state-of-the-art showroom has become a destination for serious collectors from all over the world. With a 90% sell-through rate and an average of 40 sales per month, our 60,000 sq. ft. sales facility always offers something new and unique to consider.
The RKM Performance Center was launched in 2012 as part of our commitment to exceeding the expectations of our clientele. Our 40,000 sq. ft. facility and team of ASE certified technicians allows us to offer some of the most comprehensive pre and post-sale service in the classic car industry.
Aside from inventory cars, the RKM Performance Center has also restored some of the most legendary cars to ever prowl pavement, and those cars have gone on to collect trophies at some of the largest shows in the country. We've even worked with Toyota Racing Development to take their Camry in directions most had never dreamed by putting a NASCAR engine under the hood.
In addition to traditional classic car sales and service, 2013 marked the arrival of RKM Collector Car Auctions. Based on the strength and success of RK Motors Charlotte, RKMCCA offers enthusiasts a new way to confidently buy and sell some of the best muscle cars on the market today.
Lately, our name has appeared on all forms of media and even a few race cars. From Quarter Midgets to NASCAR, RK Motors Charlotte proudly supports all types of racing. NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Brian Vickers piloted the RK Motors #55 Toyota Camry at both Martinsville and Sonoma in 2012. Our owner, Rob Kauffman, even drives a RKM-sponsored Ferrari F458 Italia in endurance races like the Rolex 24 and 12 Hours of Sebring.
